
The Prairie Paws Animal Shelter has received a $400,000 grant to jump start a new low cost spay and neuter program in areas that are underserved or have no animal shelter at all. Shelter Director, Vanessa Cowie, says Ottawa and Franklin County already have such a service and it’s pretty easy to have your pet join the program:
It’s a same day service and Cowie says they try to run one clinic every week. They can take care of 50 pets in a single day.
