
The Ottawa Golf Course continues to add staff. Jason Hodge has been hired as the Assistant Superintendent. He has over 20 years of experience in landscaping, irrigation, turf management, agricultural maintenance, and construction. Jason’s professional journey includes significant experience in a variety of roles, such as managing the care of over 3,000 apple and stone fruit trees at Pome On The Range in Williamsburg. He has also worked on pool construction, operating heavy equipment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations at Woodward Pool Construction. Additionally, his expertise as a landscape supervisor at Schendel Lawn & Landscape involved leading teams in the installation and maintenance of landscaping features, including irrigation systems, turf management, and landscape design.
He says he is passionate about sustainable practices, including water-efficient irrigation and eco-friendly turf management. Hodge says he is looking forward to using his background in landscaping and turf management to contribute to the continued success and sustainability of the course. His focus will be on high-quality results and attention to detail to enhance and maintain the beautiful outdoor spaces of the golf course.
