We all have a bunch of junk laying around, or stuffed in the garage, under the deck, closet, attic, or that spare bedroom, and we know we need to get rid of it. Now is the time to get it all cleaned out, because the City of Ottawa is about to have their City Wide Spring Clean Up. That’s right, dumpsters will be available the weekend of April 4th and 5th for residents of Ottawa to trash it all. Dumpsters will be available from 8:00 in the morning until 3:00 in the afternoon in three locations throughout Ottawa. Near the Franklin County Recycling Center on Elm Street, in the parking lot west of City Hall and at the salt storage shed on North Cherry. Large appliances will not be accepted. TV’s, computers, microwaves are allowed but nothing with freon. Absolutely no batteries and no liquids are allowed to be put in the dumpsters.
If you have paint, it is accepted Monday through Friday at the Franklin County Recycle Center at 2039 South Elm, from 7:00 in the morning until 3:00 in the afternoon. A maximum of 10 gallons per customer and no latex paint is accepted. More details to come on Ottawa City Wide Clean Up, April 4th and 5th.
