
Friday, detectives and officers with the Ottawa Police department, in collaboration with detectives from the Franklin County Sheriff’s office, executed a narcotics search warrant in the 900 Block of South Cypress Street. During the search, a significant amount of fentanyl and other illegal drugs were discovered. Also, a juvenile residing in the home was taken into protective custody by Ottawa Police officers. The suspect in this case was already in custody on unrelated criminal charges.
Reports regarding this incident have been submitted to the Franklin County Attorney’s Office for prosecution. As the suspect was not arrested on these specific charges and prosecution is pending, the individual’s name will not be released at this time.
