U.S. Senator, Jerry Moran of Kansas, who is chairman of the Commerce Subcommittee on Aviation, Space, and Innovation provided opening remarks yesterday, March 27th, during a hearing to examine the preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board on the deadly crash involving American Airlines 53-42 and a U. S. Army Blackhawk helicopter near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport that killed 67 people. Moran says there are many questions about the events on January 29th:

The crash was the first commercial airline crash in over 16 years. Several members of the U. S. skating team were on the plane.
