A suspect is in custody following a shooting incident Thursday night, March 27th, in Miami County. Just after 6:00 that night, Miami County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a subject shooting at vehicles at the intersection of 319th Street and Osawatomie Road. Deputies, along with officers from the Osawatomie Police department, arrived on scene within minutes and swiftly identified and took the suspect into custody. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
The Miami County Sheriff’s office is actively investigating this incident. As of now, the identity of the suspect has not been released and further details have not been disclosed, pending the investigation. The Miami County Sheriff’s office appreciates the public responding with multiple calls to dispatch, reporting the incident and the quick response of the deputies and law enforcement partners to ensure no one was injured or killed in the shootings.
