
The Franklin County Commission is set to meet this morning, April 2nd. The agenda is a fairly busy one. First the commissioners will hear an update from the Frontier Extension District. Then issue a proclamation declaring the month of April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which will be accepted by the Sexual Trauma and Abuse Center. Items of business include consider approving the solicitation of bids for the 2025 chip and seal project and the painted pavement marking project with Public Works Director, Jeff Welton.
From there, the commission will discuss Community Partner Funding for the 2026 budget. They will go over requests for funding from a variety of organizations funded last year, including CASA, COF, Elizabeth Layton Center, Hope House, Prairie Paws and several others.
The meeting will be held at 8:30 at the Franklin County Annex Commission Chambers.
