The East Central Kansas Area Agency on Aging relies on a lot of donations by some very generous people and businesses. Recently they thanked some of those businesses for their assistance in providing nutritious meals to older adults who rely on them for nourishment and connection. Those include Roasted Café, providing 25 meals, Wolken Plumbing and Electric with 12 meals, Harry and Juanita Peckham with 12 meals, an anonymous donor with 25 meals and Dodds Memorials who supplied 125 meals.

The meals, provided by the Meals on Wheels Program, are more than just food. They offer a vital lifeline of support, companionship, and peace of mind. Older adults receive balanced healthy meals delivered right to their door. Those facing food insecurity have access to consistent and reliable nutrition and the volunteers provide a friendly face and warm connection. If you would like to contribute or volunteer, call or stop by the East Central Kansas Area on Aging at their office at 117 South Main.
