When the news of the sale of Proximity Park to Lightfield Energy broke in late December last year, officials from Lightfield said they are eager to get started and planned to start construction as soon as possible. Three and half months have passed and their is no sign of construction at the sight. Franklin County Development Director Paul Bean says to be patient, all is going well:
Lightfield intends to use the entire 300 acres for a data storage facility. A facility like that requires a huge amount of energy. They are also building their own natural gas powered energy production plant to power the storage center.
