It used to be that the Franklin County Detention Center had the highest turnover rate of any other department in the area. However, Community Directions Director, Dustin Browning, says that all changed a couple years ago when the state legislature appropriated more money to the corrections department, which raised salaries locally:
He added that there are talks in the state legislature about increasing the money allocated to corrections in future years, with no talk of reducing funding .
