The Miami County Clerk and Election Office has released a schedule for the Louisburg Library Bond special election. The last day to register to vote and participate in the special election is tomorrow, April 15th.

.Advance voting by mail and in person begins Wednesday, April 16th, and advance voting in person closes at noon May 5th. The special election will take place Tuesday, May 6th, and the election canvass is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14th.

Louisburg Library District No. 1 Board of Trustees members are asking district voters to approve general obligation bonds not to exceed $8.75 million for a new library estimated to cost nearly 10 million.
The new 16,500-square-foot library would be built on land previously purchased by the library district on Harvest Drive near Louisburg High School and the water tower. If the bond passes, the currant building is under contract to purchase. The couple, Joseph and Victoria Lowman, previously transformed the 120 S. Broadway building into Victoria Rose Studios.
