Ever since it was announced in late December that Lightfield Energy was going to purchase all of Proximity Park and build a data storage center on the site, some people have been upset with how the city handled the sale. Some ask why didn’t the public know about it in advance or why were we not allowed to have a say in the decision. The Ottawa City Commission answered that question yesterday, and it comes down to confidentiality. Commissioner Mike Skidmore and City Attorney Blaine Finch:
