Governor Kelly has released over $14 million through the Kansas Airport Improvement Program to provide funding for planning, construction and rehabilitations of public use general aviation airports. One of those receiving funds is the Garnett Municipal Airport who will get $20,000 help with local match for phased FFA runway reconstruction projects. Also, the Miami County Airport will receive $765,000 to rehabilitate west taxi lanes and hanger ramps.

Kelly says the Kansas aerospace industry is an essential part of our state’s economy and keeping aviation infrastructure in good condition is a big part of economic growth and job creations, which allows local businesses and communities to prosper.
