Two injury accidents were reported Friday, May 2nd. First, a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Carol Holt, of Paola was traveling northbound on Virginia Road and after stopping at a stop sign, continued north into the intersection of Virginia and Shawnee Roads and struck a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Kamin Shafer of Wellsville. Holt was treated on scene for minor injuries she received in the crash.
A second accident Friday evening, just after 7:00. Thirty five year-old Tyler Wormell, of Pomona was traveling eastbound on K-68, just before the intersection with Eisenhower Road, when he crossed the centerline, struck a guardrail and exited the roadway, went down an embankment, through a tree line and came to rest in a field. He was transported to AdventHealth Ottawa for treatment of injuries he sustained in the crash.
