The Franklin County EMS ran a record number of calls las year, well over 4,000. There was one type of call that really stood out. EMS Director Kristi Hilliker says falls far outnumbered any other type of call:
They handled 603 calls last year in response to falls. The next biggest category were sick calls, followed by breathing problems. Falls have been the leading category of EMS response each of the last five years.
