The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin a resurfacing project on U. S. 169 in Franklin and Miami Counties soon. The mill and overlay work will start one mile north of Greeley and continue northeast for nine miles to the South K-7 junction.
Flaggers and a pilot car will direct one-lane traffic through the work zone during weekday daylight hours. Drivers can expect delays of no longer than 15 minutes. The work should be completed in one month, weather permitting. KDOT urges drivers to slow down and obey the posted signs in all work zones.
The $1.5 million construction contract project was awarded to Bettis Asphalt and Construction, Inc., of Topeka. If you have any questions, call the KDOT Office Public Information Officer, Priscilla Petersen.
