The Ottawa City Commission meets this afternoon, May 13th, and one of the items on the agenda is a recognition of a young Ottawa girl who won a major essay contest. City Manager Brian Silcott says Ottawa Middle School seventh grader, Agnus Lambert is the winner of the 2025 League of Kansas Municipalities Essay Contest:
Other items on the agenda include awarding the bid for the 2025 Street Rehabilitation Project, a bid award for sludge removal at the water treatment plant, Board of Zoning Appeals interviews and agreement for replacing the 15th and Main traffic signal.
The meeting will be held at 4:00 tomorrow afternoon, May 14th at City Hall and will be live streamed on the City of Ottawa’s facebook page and youtube channel.
