Summertime can be an issue for some families in the area. A lot of time to kill for the kids and, in some cases, a huge bump in food costs to feed the kiddos, creating a financial burden on many families. How would you like free meals for your kids or grandkids this summer? No problem. The Kansas Food Bank has partnered with the Garnett Church of the Nazarene and the Kincaid Community Library to once again provide summer meals for children as part of the USDA Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be distributed as a “grab and go” each week.
Meals will be served at the following locations and times:
In Garnett, puckup is at Garnett Church of the Nazarene from noon – 1:00 on Mondays through August 4rh.
Kincaid pickup will be at the Kincaid Community Library from 1:00 – 2:00 on Mondays, running through August 4th.
Each child will receive a prepackaged distribution of meals for the week. The child must be present to receive a meal box. Free meals are available to all children ages one to eighteen.
