Two interesting cases involving the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department recently. The first involved three people in the United States illegally. Sheriff’s deputies went to 900 East 9th Street where they took three men into custody for unlawfully entering and remaining in the United States. Those men were identified as 23-year-old Emilio Carrascos, 23-year-old Carlos Colememares, and 22-year-old Jose Ramos. The Department of Homeland Security took custody of all three subject.
The second case involve a self-inflicted gunshot wound. However, it was no intentional. 29-year-old Seth Snethen, of Rantoul, was transported to AdventHealth Ottawa by private vehicle after being hit by a ricocheted bullet. Fortunately, the wound was superficial and the bullet did not enter his body. Officials believe the incident happened in the 2800 block of Arkansas Terrace. No details on how or what the bullet ricocheted off of.
