An Ottawa woman was involved in a a crash that injured a Eureka man. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 100 block of 59 Highway in Richmond, in front of QSI, just before 8:00 Friday morning, June 6. Twenty one-year old Cannon Strickler, of Eureka, was traveling southbound in his vehicle when he failed to yield to a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Natasha Smith, of Ottawa, who was slowing to turn into a business driveway. Strickler rear ended Smith. He was transported to Anderson County Hospital in Garnett by EMS for treatment of injuries he sustained in the crash. Smith declined medical attention on the scene, however, was transported by private vehicle for possible treatment of injuries she sustained.
