The Franklin County Action Network, known as F-CAN, has announced that they are joining efforts across the Nation in a show of unity to protest what they call the Trump administration’s harmful policies. They will hold a rally Saturday, June 14th and they are calling the rally “No Kings! Nationwide Day of Defiance. It is in protest of what they say is President Trump’s attempt to expand presidential powers, disregard for rule of law and due process and his insistence on a military parade on that date that will cost taxpayers millions of dollars.
F-CAN coordinator Carine Ullom says America was conceived and birthed in opposition to a king and they want to provide a space where ordinary citizens can exercise their first amendment rights to say they don’t want a king. The rally will be held Saturday at 3:00 at Haley Park in Downtown Ottawa.
