Saturday was Flag Day across the United States and with all the political rallies and the celebration of the Army’s 250th anniversary, many may have forgotten the idea behind Flag Day. Here’s a reminder from the VFW National Commander, Al Lipphardt, on what Flag Day means to vets and should mean to you:
Don’t forget…our flag carries a lot of weight. The weight of wars past and lives lost to secure the freedoms we have today. It should be respected at all times, by all people of the United States.
