Central Heights High School has a new principal and it’s a name you are probably familiar with. Adam Horstick will take over the position. He is a proud graduate of the Central Heights Class of 2009. After high school, he went on to earn a degree from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 2013, launching a distinguished nine-year career in the U. S. Coast Guard. During his service, Adam held key leadership roles, including serving in the command aboard the Coast Guard Cutter, Hickory and in Vessel Traffic Service, Houston/Galveston, where he played a critical role in ensuring maritime safety and operational efficiency.

After nearly a decade of service, Adam, along with his wife Marissa and their two sons, came home with a deep desire to give back to the community that shaped him. He began teaching math and coaching basketball at Central Heights High School, bringing both real-world experience and a passion for education to the classroom and basketball court. Now serving as the High School Principal at his alma mater, Adam says he is honored and excited to lead the next generation of students with a focus on academic excellence, integrity and strong community values.
