Swerving to miss a deer in the road is never a good idea, and a Pomona man found out the hard way. Saturday afternoon, June 14th, just before 3:00, 20-year-old Jacob Mason was traveling westbound in the 1000 block of Rock Creek Road when he swerved to miss a deer, lost control of his vehicle and entered a ditch, where the vehicle overturned. Fortunately, Mason suffered only minor injuries in this crash, however, he was transported to AdventHealth Ottawa for treatment of those injuries.
