The recent rains and flooding in Franklin County may have been worse than once thought and could lead to a disaster declaration being presented in order to receive federal aid. Emergency Management Director, Tom Winter went over the damage with commissioners:

Winter added that the county had easily met its threshold of $122,000 in damage. He told commissioners he would finalize and get the declaration sent this week and report back to them as soon as he heard back from the state.
