One person died in an accident just before 8:30 Saturday night in Osage County. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2007 Chevy Silverado driven by 27-year-old Louis Madden of Waverly, was pulling a trailer northbound on South Jordan road just north of the W 317th Street junction. The pickup traveled off the road to the right and the driver overcorrected. The pickup then rolled onto its roof in the west ditch. Madden was pronounced dead at the scene. EMS transported a 5-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl to Stormont Vail Health for treatment of minor injuries. Unfortunately, the driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
