One of the City of Ottawa’s community partners is the Elizabeth Layton Center. At Wednesday’s meeting, June 25th, the city commissioners agreed that the $7,807 request from the mental health center was very much in line and only a $100 increase over last year. Previously, a representative of the ELC told the commission that the need for mental health services in Franklin County and Ottawa continues to grow, as they served over 4,400 individuals–more people than ever before, with over 900 from Ottawa alone:
