For millions of people around the United States the summer and the Fourth of July holiday weekend mark a time of backyard barbeque season. Can’t you smell those burgers cooking on the grill. You know you can. But wait, a famous chef says Americans should never barbeque burgers on the grill. What? That’s unamerican, isn’t it? New York Chef Abby Gelman agrees it’s time to bring the burgers indoors:

C’mon Abbey, can’t we do anything fun anymore without it being carcinogenic? Anyway she says to use a cast iron skillet on high heat and cook the burgers to at least 160 degrees. Or, you can use a flat top grill and still get that awesome grilled flavor.
