The Ottawa City Commission has approved the purchase of a full upgrade of the SCADA system at the water reclamation facility. What’s that you ask? It’s the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system, in other words the brains or the hub of the entire system. Utilities Director, Scott Snethen, with more on SCADA:
The new system was schedule to be paid for in the 2025-2029 capital improvement project. Commissioners approved the upgrade to the SCADA system unanimously.
