The City of Ottawa is asking for you input on a very important topic. Taxes. However, this tax is a one cent sales tax that was implemented in 2015. A half cent for economic development and a half cent for core services. City Manager Brian Silcott says they have set up a survey in order get ideas on renewing the tax.
That survey is available now. You can find the link on the City of Ottawa’s facebook page, KOFO’s facebook page and a link will be mailed to you soon. The deadline to take the survey is August 6th.
The City Commission will meet this afternoon, July 9th, at 4:00 at City Hall. The meeting will be live streamed on their facebook page and youtube channel.
