Franklin County has one of the most outstanding emergency medical service teams in the state. County paramedics have won 4 state awards this year from the Kansas EMS Association and EMS Director, Kristi Hilliker says that is unheard of and that Franklin County is the talk of the state.
Those include paramedic Laura Baker with the Advance Life Support Provider of the Year, Louise Bardwell with the Pediatric Provider of the Year, in getting protocols specifically for kids with autism…Jason Hudson with EMS Support Person of the Year…and, Abigale Truman, who will receive the Community Service Award for her work on educating the public.
