The Franklin County Development Council is working with the City of Ottawa and the county to secure a grant that will make travel safer through the area. It’s called Safe Trafficways. Council Director Paul Bean says Franklin County and the Cities of Ottawa and Wellsville have been collaborating on the project.
Some of those areas include the new development across from Price Chopper and how to help pedestrians get across the main roadway and how to prevent drivers from turning the wrong way onto Princeton. Also, finding low areas that tend to flood in the county and being able to get the word out to the public and close those roads more quickly
