A great event for the whole family, coming Saturday morning, August 23rd, to the Ottawa Municipal Airport! The annual Airport Fun Day and Fly In. There will be dozens of airplanes and helicopters flying in and others flying by, , all kinds of activities for the kids, an airplane pull contest and much more. City Manager Brian Silcott, a pilot himself, says it’s an opportunity for the city to show off the airport and what all it brings to us:
There will be police cars, fire trucks, the new Ottawa Police Department armored vehicle, an airplane pull contest between local businesses and organizations, a life flight helicopter display, flying stories told by pilots, and all kinds of planes, and, big bonus here…. the kids have a chance to get a free airplane ride…so much more. Airport Fun Day, Saturday from 8:00 to 1:00! Be there!
