The USD 290 Board approved fundraisers for all the schools in the district at Monday night’s meeting. The board passed a policy last year that all fundraisers needed to be approved by them before initiated. The question came up about fundraising requirements by students, in which Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs says, is not allowed and shouldn’t be expected:
He also emphasized that none of the fundraisers allow students to go door to door asking for funds. Elementary fundraisers include trash bag sales, cookie dough, and a few others.
