A Blue Springs, Missouri man has admitted his role in a drug overdose death of a Wellsville man. According to the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office, Thursday, August 14th, Joseph Miller plead guilty to distribution of drugs causing death, in connection with the death of 33-year-old Mason Findley of Wellsville, in August of 2024, according to the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office. According to Jackson County court records, in February, police found and arrested Miller in Kansas City in connection with the alleged crime.
According to a criminal complaint filed by the Johnson County, Kansas District Attorney’s Office, in August of 2024, Miller sold a controlled substance to Findley, which ultimately caused his death. Findley is survived by his wife and three young children. Miller was extradited to Kansas to face justice. He is scheduled for sentencing on October 8th.
