Recently, the Garnett Community Foundation hosted its Generations of Giving Celebration, honoring the generosity that shapes the Garnett Community, while inspiring investments for its future strength. The event was full of energy, inspiration, and a deep sense of community. Speaker, Steve Alley, offered a fresh perspective on the transformative power of philanthropy.
The biggest take away from the evening came from the foundation itself and their bold vision: a community empowered to secure its future by investing in itself and building lasting resources. Members say the messages marked a significant step toward realizing this vision, to ensure the community has what it needs to respond, grow, and lead for generations to come. One of the many highlights was the announcement of the foundation’s upcoming Generations of Giving Matching Gift Campaign, which launches September 1st. It will establish permanent charitable funds which will create lasting resources to support and foster a more self-reliant, resilient community.
