The City of Ottawa is trying to make it easier for developers to file for Rural Incentive Housing District status. At Wednesday’s meeting, August 20th, Finance Director, Melanie Landis went through the process of the application:
The city is trying to save developers a lot of money. Under the old policy a person might spend upwards of $20,000 before finding out if the city was even going to allow them to build.
