Franklin County Emergency Communications Director, Sarah Peffley, went before the Ottawa City Commission to discuss how the emergency calls were handled this year. She says call volume was up quite a bit:
The City of Ottawa pays for 50% of the emergency communications budget. Next year that amount is about $650,000. Wellsville pays for 7%, or $91,000, and Franklin County takes care of the rest of the $1.3 million.
