Franklin County is part of KCAMP. What’s that, you ask? It’s the Kansas County Association Multiline Pool. It’s an insurance pool made up of Kansas counties, that covers property, casualty and liability. At the commission meeting Wednesday, the risk manager at KCAMP, Patrick Smith, had a gift for the county for the Risk Management Achievement Award:
KCAMP is not an insurance company. Members pay contributions to the pool. These contributions are used to pay claims, and provide education to the members. They are currently composed of 116 Kansas municipalities, including 81 of the 105 Kansas counties.
