As if the Chiefs need anymore attention or distractions… and in case you haven’t heard… and it’s hard to imagine you haven’t… Chiefs star, Travis Kelce and music sensation, Taylor Swift, have announced they are engaged. The couple shared their announcement on instagram yesterday afternoon, featuring an image of the fairy tail proposal with the caption “your english teacher and your gym teacher are getting married”
Travis actually proposed about 10 days ago. The news comes just 13 days after Swift made her first appearance on the Kelce Brothers Podcast, “New Height”, which broke the world record for most concurrent views for a podcast in youtube history.
Their love story started in July of 2023 when Kelce attended Swift’s ERAS tour stop in Kansas City at Arrowhead. During an episode of “New Height”, he shared his plan to give it a shot and get his number to her. He made a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it. She called him and… the rest is history. Congratulations Travis and Taylor!
