Public hearings concerning the revenue neutral rate and budgets for the upcoming year will take place in the upcoming weeks for three entities in Franklin County. The City of Ottawa, USD 290, and Franklin County will hold hearings over the next two weeks. Tim Van Leiden is a candidate for the Ottawa City Commission in the upcoming election and he is encouraging people to attend the meetings, starting with the City of Ottawa next Wednesday, September 3rd:
The City of Ottawa will hold their hearings on Wednesday evening at 7:00 at City Hall. USD 290 has scheduled their meeting for Monday, September 8th at 6:30 at the board office and the Franklin County Commission will hold revenue neutral meetings Wednesday, September 6th at 6:00 that evening at the County Annex.
