Ottawa citizens filled the room at Wednesday’s Ottawa City Commission meeting. Many spoke out against the way the commission has spent tax money coming in to them. There were many complaints about property taxes being too high and the way tax money is being doled out.
Susan Hughes says we all have budgets…we can’t have everything we want and sometimes we have to make choices and cut corners to get by. However, she had one major concern, the amount of money spent on the golf course:
Commissioners passed a revenue neutral budget for the upcoming year, subject to the final property valuation by the county.
