Two Osage County residents are in custody on numerous drug-related charges. According to Osage County Sheriff, Chris Wells, sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant on Thursday, September 4th, at 12544 South Topeka Avenue near Carbondale just before 5:00 in the afternoon. As a result of the search, officers arrested 47-year-old Kristina Smith and 46-year-old Troy Smith, both of Carbondale, on suspicion of distribution of methamphetamine, distribution of drug paraphernalia, distribution of marijuana and possession of hallucinogens. Kristina was also arrested on suspicion of use of a communication facility in the commission of a felony, while Troy was arrested on suspicion of battery on law enforcement and felony obstruction. Both were taken to the Osage County Jail with formal charges pending.
