The East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corporation, known as ECKAN was recently awarded the Pathways To Excellence, bronze tier recognition by the National Community Action Partnership. Pathways To Excellence is a program that supports community action agencies in their commitment to organizational improvement and excellence. The program includes a structured process of self-assessment, planning, and capacity building; all designed to enhance agencies’ ability to achieve their mission and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
ECKAN CEO, Crystal Anderson, says they are honored to serve East Central Kansas and will continue striving for excellence within all their program services. Anderson commended the staff for their efforts, saying the national achievement reflects the staff’s ongoing commitment to go beyond compliance and build a mission-focused culture of excellence.
ECKAN’s mission is to build connections and provide program services in East Central Kansas to support the stability, health, and engagement of low-income individuals and families.
