The owner of the Hound Lounge in Louisburg is looking to expand. Twenty-three year-old Morgan Messer opened the business two years ago. When the business began two years ago, Morgan operated it out of her parents’ house, but she quickly realized she needed another location as business grew.
According to the Miami County Republic, she spent three weeks fixing up the current location of the Hound Lounge at 408 W. Amity St, but she is now also outgrowing that building. Morgan is planning to open a larger, new facility at 108 Crestview Circle near Price Chopper. The location already has a large existing parking lot, and Morgan plans to construct a building there and have it operational next summer. Big plans for a 23 year old! The larger facility would allow her to expand her dog grooming and boarding options, and it would feature outdoor runs for the animals.
Morgan says she has already spoken with members of the Louisburg Planning Commission, and she expects to present finalized plans to the city later this fall.
