A big fundraiser every year for the Ottawa Library is the Skunk Run Book Sale. Dozens of library staff, volunteers and the Friends Of the Ottawa Library, work hard to collect and sort the books, organize it all and then haul it all to the sale site. Books, dvd’s, audiobooks, games and puzzles ranged in price from ten cents to a dollar. The sale raised over $3,200. Library Director Terry Chartier says they are grateful for all those who donated and attended the event and those who purchased items to support the library.
Don’t forget, donated items are sold throughout the year at the Friends Book Store at 209 East 2nd Street. They are open Mondays from noon to 1:30 and the first and third Saturday from 9:00 till noon.
