Friday, September 26th, at approximately 8:00 in the evening, Ottawa Police, Ottawa Fire and Franklin County EMS were dispatched to a shooting in the 1100 block of South Cedar Street. Upon arrival, officers located a 48-year old Ottawa female deceased with an apparent gunshot wound. Ottawa detectives responded to investigate the scene and interview witnesses throughout the night. At this time the incident has been classified as a suicide, but further investigation will be conducted to ensure an accurate accounting of all facts.
