The City of Ottawa has been blessed, if you ask BCI Mechanical CEO Brandon Livingston. His company has been doing maintenance on City Hall’s HVAC system since he can remember and will be doing the installation of a new system. The building was built in 1984 and the HVAC system is largely the original:

According to Commissioner Sarah Caylor, the Commission has talked about replacement of the system at least 40 times in the last 12 years. Parts for the current system are nearly obsolete and the coolant it uses has been disallowed. The cost of the project will be about $1.2 million and It will be funded by a 2022 general obligation bond.
