The Franklin County Commission approved five different parcels of land to be rezoned for various reasons. The most common was to build a home on part of the land. Planning and Building Director Pat Toth described one of those projects:
More and more larger properties are being rezoned into smaller tracts so property owners can allow family members to build homes on the land or for the land owner to sell off tracts of land to people wanting to move away from the city to a more country setting.
