Political Rally’s in Ottawa are becoming fairly commonplace, as they are in many areas of the country. Saturday, October 18th, there will be a “No Kings” rally at City Park. It will be part of a nationwide day of action and resistance. People from Franklin County and neighboring areas will gather for a peaceful rally, demanding accountability, transparency and the preservation of democratic norms.

No Kings 2.0 is organized by a coalition of over 100 pro-democracy social justice organizations that are committed to peaceful, grassroots expression of dissatisfaction with growing authoritarianism, corporate capture of power and attacks on fundamental freedoms.

Local activists with the Franklin County Action Network have organized the event and will join with allies from neighboring counties, community leaders and concerned citizens. The event will feature music and speakers and a food drive. Those attending are encouraged to bring non-perishable food and pet supplies. All items will be donated to Hope House of Ottawa. The No Kings 2.0 rally will be Saturday from 1:00 to 2:30 at City Park in Ottawa.
